WELCOME TO THE STARSHIP ENTERPRISE

Yes, it has been quite a long time since the Sci-fi channel had its own "Star Trek Special Edition," but my own web page replica of the Enterprise, which you have just beamed upon is still at its best.

Star Trek was introduced in 1966, about the crew of the USS Enterprise, and their five year mission. But during it's television debut, it did not last long enough to full-fill its mission. When if first debuted, the ratings were beaten by almost every other show which was on at that time. Finally, in 1969, it was canceled.

In command of the Enterprise is Captain James Kirk. Captain Kirk is usually know more by just his name, and not much remembered, while people think more of Spock, his first officer. One thing that is most peculiar about Kirk, and can be remembered about him, is that whenever he met a girl, he would almost automatically fall in love with her.

Spock, Captain Kirk's first officer, who is half-breed Vulcan, is one of the crew members who was one who can be remembered well. Being part Vulcan, Spock has no emotions, which came much into contrast with the Captain. Though, sometimes, it was snuck into the script, where Spock would fall in love with someone.

Dr. McCoy was one who was remembered well by his "I'm a doctor, not a . . ." remarks. Other crew members also did much, like Lt. Uhura, and Scotty.

In the 70's, A Star Trek motion picture came out in theaters, with most of the original cast, costing up to $40 million to produce, and was a disappointment by people to all ends. Despite the bad ratings of the first, a sequel came out in 1982, coming in more successful than the first. This started the long line of Star Trek movies.

Just recently, DeFrost Kelley died. If you are unaware (mostly like I was when I first heard about it), Kelley played Dr. McCoy on the original Star Trek. With this page I would like to remember him, For he is a doctor, nor a corpse.
