Purpose
As a convenience, GWIS now offers free WebMail service
for customer access to read and send e-mail from any web browser.
Customers may also use this system to remove large attachements
or corrupted e-mail messages that are interfering with the download
of mail via a POP3 mail client.
Terms of Service
Mailbox size: You are permitted a maximum of 5MB of data on our server. Unlike POP3 mail
clients such as Netscape Communicator or Microsoft Outlook Express,
this WebMail service does not download and remove your mail from our server;
instead, messages will continue to accumulate until deleted.
We encourage you to download any messages you wish to keep using a POP mail client,
and advise you that exceeding your 5MB limit will result in the removal of your
e-mail messages at our discression.
N2NET UPDATE! You are NOW permitted a maximum of 20MB of data on our server.
N2Net is now also enforcing the 20 MB disk quota through technological means. If the combined total of
your mail plus personal web site exceeds 20 MB, you will not be able to receive any further e-mail, and
your senders will receive a bounce that your quota has been exceeded. Please take this into account
and delete your messages when you no longer need them!
Abuse: Use of GWIS e-mail services to send unsolicited e-mail (spam)
is prohibited, and will result in termination of your account. All GWIS policies
apply to use of WebMail.
Security: Using this WebMail service does not provide any greater security than a
standard POP3 e-mail client. Communications between our server and your PC are not
encrypted, and should not be used to transfer sensitive data.
Lost mail: As with any e-mail client, GWIS is not responsible for the loss of, or recovery
of lost e-mail messages, due to either misuse, or proper operation of the WebMail
system.
HTTPS Secure Server (update 2/23/05)
N2Net has installed a certified secure server to protect the data transfered between your PC and the webmail
system. N2Net encourages your use of this feature to help protect the contents of your e-mail.
